Beer: This is a consistent brewery and they offer good beers of all types. When I visited they had 5 different IPA's on tap and all of them varied in terms of hops and malt levels. This is a brewery for any beer drinker since they offer everything from lite to dark beers. I enjoyed their stout and variety of IPA's. I will look for these IPA's in stores based on their full balanced flavors.

Atmosphere: Who cares if it's in an industrial area! I appreciate any way a brewery can get their beer in to the public. They have a large serving counter and I didn't have to wait in line for beer. One thing I specifically enjoyed was that they have food trucks that serve food in their beer garden... I think that is GENIUS!!

Service: The service was great and I never felt like my server was rushing to get to the next customer even though they were pretty busy.

Food: Food trucks are a great bar food if your asking me!

The newest Green Flash brewing location is in a huge warehouse-like building way outside the center of San Diego. It's on a major street but the entrance is in the back. Inside, the space is absolutely huge. The unfinished ceiling with a few skylights is about three stories high and the floors and walls are concrete.

The tasting β€œroom” is a large square area on one side of the space. Two sides of this area are formed by a corrugated metal and wood bar where the taps are and by another bar with merchandise. The boundary with the brewery is then formed by two more counters that meet at a corner where a metal gate serves as the entrance to the brewery. A large refrigeration unit, many fermenters, some wooden barrels aging beer, and the operation of the bottling line are all easily seen from here.

A small outdoor seating area is on one side of the warehouse just outside the tasting room area. There is no food available, but local food trucks are often scheduled to arrive during the afternoons.

Seven beers were on tap on our visit: Trippel, West Coast IPA, IIPA, Double Stout, Summer Saison, Hop Head Red, and Fizzy Yellow Beer. The West Coast IPA is excellent and a standard for the San Diego IPA style. Growler fills, bottles, kegs, and various souvenirs are for sale beyond the pint sales (including more styles than are available on tap).

Went to this place after going to Alesmith and Ballast Point on a Friday late afternoon. This place is right off a major road and we drove past it and had to u turn. This place is in a large warehouse type building. We were lucky to find parking as it seemed like a small lot for such a big place. They have a beer garden on left as you walk into the tasting room and they also had a food truck set up for that evening. I had heard great things about this brewerey, but wasn't familiar with their brews. The tasting room was big high ceilings with a large area to hang out. The tasting area had a rail around it so you can lean up against and chill. We arrived as the locals were getting off work as many looked like they were there for happy hour. Great young crowd. They have about 10-15 beers to try. Since it is a large space, they have taps listed on big boards above the bar. The bar is long and they have many bartenders to help you. I was there for tasters and they were $1. I tried their west coast IPA, and Imperial... both very good if you like hoppy beer. I then tried their Barleywine...it was strong...surprisingly smooth. I then tried their Le Freak and Tripel. Both were excellent. I'd definitly go back here...pleasant surprise. I picked up some glassware.
