Library Ale House has a nice warm wood entry with an awning inviting you within. It's a narrow space with high ceilings inside and the wood theme continues with the bar, chairs, and walls. The bar top and table tops are metal.

In back is a nice outdoor patio with a very restaurant-like feel. The space is partially shaded by translucent screens above and concrete pavers cover the ground. The wooden tables are topped with aluminum and have large and comfortable chairs made from dark wood. Several outdoor heaters help warm the space when it’s cool and a vase of fresh flowers adorns each table.

Overall, the place feels a bit trendy and the beers are not cheap, but it’s a pleasant space, especially considering there are only two TVs and conversation seems more of the order of the day than typical for Los Angeles area bars.

There is an extensive (and expensive) draft beer list. Newly tapped beers are thoughtfully listed on a chalkboard.

The food menu is traditional but upscale.

Library Alehouse has both a bar and resutrant, the patio in the back is outdoors but covered with heaters. The bar is in the front.
The food is great, the selection of beers is great for Los Angeles (not enough craft beer here), ambiance is good. They have proper glassware for all the beers I saw come out. I had Chimay Triple and a Bitbuger Pils. Beer was served at appropriate temperature.
There is public metered parking across the street. There are also a couple other bars nearby if you want to do some pub crawling.
