Fiddler's is a great neighborhood bar in North Seattle. There is a very nice outdoor patio during the summer months. Out of respect for the neighbors customers are shuttled inside around 10pm. The building has lots of windows, which let in plenty of light. There are usually about a dozen beers on tap. The beer tends to be on the hoppy side, but there are several options for the less hop inclined. Bottle beer is nothing to speak of, but I've heard that they have a nice selection of cider in bottles. The food is fairly good. Most people really like their pizzas.

A great place.

A real neighborhood place - comfortable, welcoming, lots of regulars and a great beer list with 11 taps. It really is about the beer here. It’s well-kept and not too cold and there is good coverage of styles. None of the “majors” is on tap. And there are always a good selection of hoppy beers (as demanded by the customers).

The building is under historical protection as it was a pub long ago (even the original rusted sign outside with a neon fiddle is still here). The single main room is fairly small and roughly square. It’s quite light (windows on 3 sides) and has wooden floors, wooden tables and chairs, built-in wooden benches around the outside, and wood panelling on the bottom half of the walls. There are also a few stools at the bar. There are two TVs (generally tuned to sports) but with the volume turned off. Music, chosen by the bartenders, is always on, but not too loud. There is also a great outdoor beer garden with picnic tables, umbrellas, and hop vines (and dogs are allowed). This is the place to be on a rare warm sunny day in Seattle.

The kitchen is small (so can be slow at crowded times) but the food is top notch - pizza and sandwiches (both especially well done), but also edamame, salads, and a number of tasty vegetarian choices.

The service is low-key, as befits a neighborhood place, but good and the servers are knowledgeable about beer. There are regular “Brewer’s Nights”, with extra beer from a particular local brewery, and the brewer on hand to talk about their beer. Live music some evenings and “trivia nights”.
