I stumbled across this little gem while walking from my friends house to another resteraunt. Didn't even make it to the other resteraunt. I live in Oklahoma and there is not one place that resembles something like this. I loved it. Great beer, decent grill food(nothing fancy), just simple and easy. The bartenders and cooks were friendly and very knowledgeable about the beer the produce. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the northwest.

Here I sit in Old Portland neighborhood drinking a great beer in a place that if not for the sign I would have never stopped. Finally after a few years of trying I had the time to stop at Amnesia brewing great brews, service and food. I liked the atmosphere and the brews where so sound and high caliber this was a true Portland Craft brewer. The food I found odd to be cooked in an outdoor setting under a semi permanent tent but all in all it was very good. This is not for the kids this is for the true craft beer seeker. There will be no wimpy pale ales here there all have hops and then more hops. I recommended this place for the hard core beer geek.

Amnesia Brewing is in a corrugated steel-clad warehouse. The atmosphere is warehouse and casual -- and there’s a perfect comfortable neighborhood pub feeling.

The outdoor seating area is larger than inside! It’s a nice space on one side of the pub, paved with asphalt and with many wooden picnic tables and several trees and various bushes in one corner. Part of the space is covered with aluminum and is heated and decorated with hanging flower baskets. On one side is a covered “cooking” area for barbecue and grilling. (Food seems to be limited to grilled sausages and hamburgers).

Inside are more picnic tables plus a few chairs at the bar. The ceiling is tall and fans help keep up the circulation, as do the two glass garage doors that stay open in warm weather. Walls are painted green with a number of outdoor landscape photos hanging (possibly a rotating display space). The brewery is behind the bar area and not enclosed (we could smell the wort when we arrived the first time).

The beer was also quite good. On our latest visits there were two IPAs (both delicious and very different, showing what a talented brewer can do), a Pale Ale, an ESB, a Porter, and a seasonal.

This brewery is in the same general area of Portland as Widmer Brothers. This is the type of brewery that is just great to find in Portland. It is basically just a corregated steel building with an open area for a real beer garden feel to it. I was there mid day on a weekday so there was one bartender working both the bar and the grill. So service was a bit slower than expected. The bar has a limited menu, basically limited to what can be made on the grill.

Relatively small beer selection probably 6-8, but overall the beers I tried were excellent. This kind of seemed like a place that is in its beginning phases and will grow much bigger in time.
