On the outside, it looks really sketchy. Once I got in there though, I discovered one of the best beer bars I've ever had the pleasure of drinking at. The beer selection is a good mix of everything. They usually highlight a "visiting" brewery that you don't usually see much of in the area. Lots of local beers as well. The waitstaff and bartenders are very friendly and helpful.

The one time I did order food, I was very impressed. Beer was served in proper glassware. Water was plentiful. I've also never really had a problem getting a seat which is a problem with a lot of it's peers.

Lord Hobo has a large and diverse beer selection. I only had an hour and was only able to try two beers. Victory Hop Wallop and Left Hand Milk Stout. Both very good and served in the correct glassware. The staff was friendly and seemed to know their beers. The atmosphere was loud and crowded (was there 9pm-10pm on a thursday night). Maybe not ideal for a solo visit, but good with a few friends. I got the impression that this place is constantly rotating taps which makes me wish I lived 3000 miles closer and could frequently this place. I would definitely recommend this place and will stop in for several pints on my next trip to Boston.
