I found this place a year ago via Beer Mapping, I was really disappointed, then one day I stopped by and I've been going back almost every week. One person made the difference for me, I get weekly updates via email, they enjoy talking beer and they have even gotten back into the tasting events, next time in the area check them out, it's worth it. If your looking for something unique it's worth asking.

Red Carpet is definitely a hidden gem. They tend to cater more to the wine lover but do have an excellent beer selection as well as a knowledgeable staff who are more than willing to help you find a beer. Their in store selection doesn't always match that of their on-line menu so call if you are going there because of something you saw on their site. Lots of belgians and belgian styles as well as a descent variety of american craft brews but one of the pricier stores.

Although their main specialty is wine, Red Wine Carpet has a pleasing selection of beers. Located North of the Glendale Galleria, this place is a hidden gem that could be easily overlooked. Starting with its own private lot, once inside you will be treated to a large open space with alcohol galore. There is a 4-sided wine bar where beer tastings are also held. To the far left you will see a row of refridgerators holding mainly 22oz bottles. Varieties include both domestic and imported brews, with a good portion of lesser known beers to try. We glanced over the selection without pressure for a good while and were then approached by friendly staff. He provided good insight into the store events and his beer recommendations seemed well informed. Although most prices were on the high side, the fairly large selection made the choosing experience worthwhile. We look forward to participating in their next beer tasting which runs for about $50 a person and includes food as well. Easily one of the top places in LA for beer. Highly recommended.
