Went into this place with kind of low expectations from everyone I talked to that went there a while back. But they were wrong, I mean nothing that is too crazy, but the food was good, I have had way worse, but some that was better, the beer was good, (See comment on food)I had the pils, the pale ale was a pale ale. A really great atmosphere though. Service was just fine. Would go back to again when I am done doing Mt. Washington again.

I went here after hiking up to Tuckerman's Ravine. Its a smoke house, so naturally the smell of wood smoke when we arrived was lovely. The location is inviting, being in a 150 year old building with views of Mt Washington.

They had a good selection of beer, including two seasonals. Some standard and slightly unusual beer creations to suit different tastes, but nothing really crazy. I sat at the bar and the bartender was attentive. It was not crowded when I was there. I had a wood-grilled pizza that was very tasty. Both the food and beer were wonderful after a day hiking.

This place also has five guest rooms if your interested in staying there.

Ok environment. food I could make in my basement. After all that, TERRIBLE SERVICE. The waitstaff ignored us for about 10 minutes. But, no one goes to a brewpub for the food...the beer was good, but nothing amazing, but overall worth checking out if you're coming back from Mount Washington. A good victory beer, but not worth a special trip, by any means. Enjoy, its worth a stop but a trip.
