Lazy as in loaf, lie around, goof off, be idle, take time, lounge, loiter about, bum around or do nothing.
Well, I take exception to the last synonym. Being "lazy" is not doing nothing. Those of us who care be lazy (and appreciate the necessity for doing so at times) are indeed, doing something. We're not "AA" personalities; we take time to notice things. Ask any writer. As they sit and stare out the window, they will adamantly maintain they are not "doing nothing" but rather creating - thinking but they are decidedly NOT being lazy.
This writing can be hard work - looking at a blank white page and trying to fill it up with meaningful words that convey one's thoughts.
My thoughts, for example right now are of a beer (as they often are!) and what the future might hold. And in that regard, I look forward to Christmas when Lazy Boy Brewing puts out their Xmas blend, a good hearty brown full of caramel & butterscotch & toffee flavors that warm the innards and puts a smile on my face as big as Santa's belly.
Lazy Boy is strictly a micro-brewery but they will sell you a taste or three if you stop by. If not, we are their beers are stocked in several local groceries. So when one looks forward to Christmas but it's only June, one can still taste their IPA, Porter and smooth, delicious, goes-down-as-easy-as-water Belgian Golden Ale...but not mine! I tend to growl when someone (including wife Persimmon) reaches for "just a sip." Get your own!
There is no view from this warehouse-brewery except of the residential road...off the beaten path but a great way to spend an hour or so, just being lazy & talking.
And that is hardly "doing nothing."
